Jaerock Kwon is an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Kettering University.

He has three major research interests: (1) Computational Neuroscience and Neuroanatomy (2) Artificial Intelligence (3) Intelligent Mobile Robotics.

His development plan for 3D tissue scanner with Internet-connected 3D virtual microscope has been supported by NSF from 2013. This instrument will be an essential tool for large-scale automated histology.

He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2009  from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. His M.S. and B.S in Electronic Communication Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea.

Jaerock Kwon leads the Brain Inspired Intelligent Systems (BI2S) Lab and has been a co-director of Mobile Intelligent Robotics (MiR) Lab.
