Development of Autonomous Vehicle Research Platform

A new project, “Development of Autonomous Vehicle Research Platform using Deep Learning and Robot Operating System” has been approved. This project is sponsored by the Institute for Information & Communication Technology Promotion (IITP), Korea.

This project is the 2nd phase of a project that was conducted at Kettering University from July 2019 to December 2019.

Grant from IITP, Korea

Korea-US International Joint Research Project sponsored by Institute for Information and Communications Technology Promotion (IITP), Korea, Development of Autonomous Vehicle Research Platform using Deep Learning and Robot Operating System, 2019 – 2020

Through this collaborative research project with Hanyang Univeristy-ERICA, Korea, I will host two graduate students from Korea to build an autonomous vehicle research platform using Deep Learning and Robot Operating System.

Collaborative Research Grant

Dr. Kwon has received a collaborative research grant from Grand Valley State University (Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence (CSCE)) for the project, “3D Modeling of Human Motion from 2D Video Images Using Al-based Markerless Inference Framework” in April 2019
